Hopkins County 4-H members and County 4-H Council will attend the County Commissioners' Court meeting for the reading of the 4-H proclamation in honor of National 4-H week. A county 4-H Council meeting will follow to discuss the Food Drive, County-wide 4-H Christmas party, and more. 4-H members will receive an excused absence, but we must know who plans to attend. Double-pleasure Side Dishes - Reducing sodium and increasing fiber will be the focus in tonight's session. Sample some delicious side dishes and learn ways to reduce sodium and still have a delicious tasting meal.
We will wrap up the series tonight with "Celebrating Sensibly with Diabetes." Taste tasting tonight will include Diabetic Pecan Pie and other great holiday dishes. You won't want to miss! Those attending at least 3 sessions will receive a "graduation" gift, but everyone will walk away with some fantastic recipes.
The Hopkins County 4-H Clubs will be holding a food drive for the local food bank. Donations may be dropped off at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office during the entire month of October.
